So what is Synergise?
It's a weekend-long celebration of Scouting; one of the biggest events ever to be staged in our part of the world. There'll be hundreds of people from the youngest Beavers to the oldest leaders will be enjoying a full three days of adventure and excitement. It forms part of the national celebrations to mark 100 years of Scouting. Make sure your members don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity.

When is it?
Synergise is on the May Day Bank Holiday weekend in 2007. Camping will start on Friday 4th May 2007, and the final activities and celebrations will conclude three days later on Monday 7th May 2007.

Where is Synergise?
This massive event is taking place at Hesley Wood Activity Centre which is close to Barnsley, Sheffield and Doncaster.

What will be happening at the weekend?
The Synergise Team is currently building a programme that will be bursting with activities, adventure and celebration. There will be high-adrenaline action activities, imaginative creative workshops, discos and parties, and loads of unique ways to celebrate 100 years of Scouting. Read more about the event's activities here.

Who can come?
Synergise is for all members of Scouting in South Yorkshire. We are striving for total participation from all groups in the county either as campers or as day visitors. The District Explorer Scout units and the Scout Network are also invited to join us for this weekend of adventure and excitement.

Can we come just for a day?
Beavers and their leaders are invited to visit us on Sunday to join in the festivities, take part in the thanksgiving and share the birthday cake!

How much does it cost?
This is one of the most cost-effective Centenary camps in the UK.
:: £30 per young person for the weekend
:: £10 per adult
:: £5 for day visitors (Sunday / Beavers only)
:: £2 for leader day visitors

What do we get for our money?
A packed programme of activities and entertainment for both young people and adults, from Friday night to Monday afternoon. Food is the only thing not included in the cost, other than birthday cake.

How do we book?
It is really simple. Visit our booking form section where there is an online form that you can fill in and send back to us. On that you'll need to give us a few details about who you are and how many people you will be bringing. All you need to do then to secure your place is put a cheque in the post to cover your deposit. Your places at this amazing celebration weekend will then be secure. Should you prefer you can download a form from that same page to print out and send to us by post with your deposit.

Is there a deadline for booking?
We need as many people to book early as possible. The absolute deadline for bookinds is April 1st 2007 when final balances will be due.

Why is it called Synergise?
One of the main aims of the 2007 celebrations nationally is to 'Energise" the movement. By adding our county's initials to the start, we get Synergise. This is defined as "the enhanced result of two or more people, groups or organisations working together." As this more or less sums up what we've always known about Scouting in South Yorkshire, we thought it was an ideal name for our celebration camp!

Why haven't you answered my question?
Hopefully, you will be able to find all the information you need on the Synergise website, but if you have any other questions, do get in touch.
